Job Description:

Our client is a worldwide leader in the Automotive manufacturing of metal mechanic components, is seeking a solid and proven FX Coordinator for Mexico Operations. The position will be located on its Chihuahua, Chihuahua facility.


Communicates and shares programming information with all plants working in conjunction with Corporate ADR Manager. Assists MIS and Quality department with documentation and provides training to assistant programmers. Assists maintenance in troubleshooting and repair of both ADR and Picker units. Communicate concerns, malfunctions and ADR issues with management. Travel to plants as needed to help improve the ADR & Picker systems imaging, programming and maintenance.


Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Training of ADR and Picker inspection personnel.
  • Assists plant level programmers as follows:
    • Training and guidance in Yxlon Digital AI 10.0 software.
    • Set up and programming of all new wheel styles that are cast during lot development using tools provided in Yxlon AI version 10.0  
    • Program accept/reject levels according to MOS (Manufacturing Operation Specifications).
    • Parameter tuning:

                   Parameters tuning consists of the following adjustments:

  • Edge masking
  • Large defect detection
  • Material suppression
  • Background
  • Defect detection
  • Defect verification
  • Assists programmers in identifying techniques to accurately detect hub related cracks and sponge issues.
  • Minimizing false reject rate applying knowledge of Yxlon AI software tools.
  • Relays issues and communications from and to Corporate ADR Manager.
  • Communication of ADR and Picker related concerns with quality, casting/lot development supervision.
  • Provide regular progress reports to the Corporate office.
  • Assist Maintenance department in inspection and repair of all ADR & Picker fluoroscopes.
  • Identifies areas of concern in both maintenance and repair along with system performance.
  • Review/verification of calibration.
  • Preform Imaging camera adjustments as necessary to ensure proper image resolution of x-ray imaging chain.
  • Preform vision camera and program adjustments as necessary to minimize NID rate.
  • Preform gain calibrations as necessary on both ADR and Picker units.
  • Relay communications from Corporate office to Mexican plants in an understandable translation.


  • Be certified through Yxlon A.I (auto inspection) 10.0 or latest version.
  • Bachelor degree minimum or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic knowledge of language, reading, computer and mathematical skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Strong understanding of computer files structure and networking a must.
  • Strong electronic and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of wheel setup and inspection skills related to x-ray inspection.
  • Excellent defect recognition interpretation skills.
  • Excellent English (verbal and written) communication skills a must.
  • Excellent organizational skills a must.
  • S.P.C. and PLC knowledge a plus.
  • Level 2 radiography certification.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must possess ability to troubleshooting advanced electronic, computer and mechanical issues. Ability to communicate instructions to maintenance and programmers for troubleshooting and analyzing day to day issues.
