Job Description:


Our client, an American based global leader in premium automotive aftermarket replacement parts seeks a Controller to oversee three Asia sites including two manufacturing plants in Malaysia, one logistics and warehousing facility in Singapore, and one distribution center in Shanghai, China.  As a member of the executive regional management team, the Controller will report to the President of Asia Operations/SVP Supply Chain Undercar and assume a tactical role in the Asia accounting management. The Controller is responsible for treasury, cash management, banking relations including foreign exchange transactions, budgeting and forecasting, financial analysis, and other various projects to support regional executive management.


  • Effective operating treasury function.
  • Prepares summaries of weekly cash flows and review of weekly funding requirements/requests.
  • Coordinates the company’s annual budgeting process.
  • Work with the various departments to update the forecast throughout the year.
  • Works with banking and/or finance organizations to ensure that our financial obligations are met.
  • Assist in amending credit agreements and updating authorization documentation with the bank.
  • Administer the company’s credit card program.
  • Provides support on the evaluation of potential acquisitions, mergers and other business transactions.
  • Actively works and coordinates the annual OGSM meetings.
  • Coordination/compilation of all financial information for weekly management reporting.
  • Ensure proper budgeting/explanation of all capital expenditures purchase requisitions.
  • Responsible for Accounting Department, montly reporting and financial analysis for the three Asian entities: 2 manufacturing plants in Malaysia, a Logistics Warehousing facility in Jurong East, Singapore and a Distribution facility in Shanghai, China. 
  • Work with Purchasing and Accounts Payable to analyze payment terms.
  • Confers with CAO and other senior administrative personnel to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions.
  • Coordination with the company’s tax consultant for quarterly estimated payments and filing of tax returns.
  • May perform other duties as required.

  • 7+ years of experience as a controller (a minimum of 4 years in manufacturing environment).
  • Strong manufacturing standard cost accounting experience.
  • Solid experience with financial analysis, budgets, and forecasting.
  • Must have strong financial reporting and montly close experience.
  • Treasury and banking relations helpful.
  • Able to travel up to 30% of the time.


B.S. in Accounting or Finance. Master's degree (M. A.) a plus.

Language Ability:

Fluency in English and Malay; knowledge of Mandarin is a plus.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and QAD software. Payroll/HRIS system is preferred.
