Position Summary

Our client is global leader in specialty Packaging who seeks a Quality Manager to be directly responsible for managing and coordinating all quality functions for the facility. This position leads the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System and Quality Metrics performance to ensure sustainable compliance to customer, regulatory and other internal QMS requirements

This role reports to the site VP Operations and has a strong dotted line report to Platform Quality Lead within the business platform.


Position Duties & Responsibilities

  • Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality and customer service standards; identifying and resolving problems; completing audits; determining system improvements; implementing change
  • Develops quality assurance plans by conducting hazard analysis identifying critical control points and preventive measures; establishing critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions and procedures verification
  • Validates quality process by establishing product specification and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification; writing and updating quality assurance procedures
  • Maintains and improves product quality by completing product; company; system, compliance and surveillance audits; improving manufacturing process, investigating customer complaints; collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and manufacturing plans and training methods
  • Ensure quality products are available to customer through new product introduction, review. Customer and supplier relations, manufacturing quality. Cost reduction, inspection, calibration, employee training
  • Lead and manage top performing team of Quality professionals and technicians and meets organizational financial objectives


Candidate Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in an Engineering or technical discipline, MS in Quality preferred.
  • 10 + years of Quality Control /Assurance Management experience
  • Experience as a point of contact for customer audits, regulatory
  • ASQ certification preferred
  • Experience in Packaging manufacturing and Good Manufacturing Practices for Pharma / medical devices customers preferred
  • Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; ability to lead others through change
  • Bilingual: English / Spanish
