We have been retained by one of the fastest growing Global  Pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in the world.  This search is an exceptional opportunity for a Sales Professional  to develop and lead the strategic  marketing direction and identify key assets in the Pharmaceutical pipeline.  This exciting opportunity will report to the Director of Latin America and position will be based in Brazil, preferably in Sao Paulo, or Rio de Janeiro.

The Sales Manager will play an integral role in evaluating and identifying new prospects while expanding and growing new markets.  The successful candidate will have a strong background in Pharmaceutical, Food Processing , Cosmetics, Vitamins / Minerals or other healthcare / personal care products.   The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving the sales business development strategy and plan by preparing the commercial diligence and start-up, coordinating permits and product approvals, guiding product forecast and P&L generation while working together with the Executive team in order to meet company goals and objectives.  This position will be the key driver of growth for the Brazilian market and could lead to a GM position as the company grows its market share.

Key responsibilities:

·         Lead commercial due diligence while growing new business relationships.

·         Identify potential clients, and decision makers within the client organization and research while building and developing new client relationships.

·         Work with technical staff and internal colleagues to meet customer needs.

·         Grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services to clients.

·         Set up meetings between client, and the decision makers within the client organization.

·         Plan approaches and pitches and work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.

·         Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met by the team.

·         Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets.

·         Working with marketing staff to ensure that prerequisites (like pre-qualifications or getting on a vendor list) are fulfilled on a timely manner.

·         Understand the company’s goal and purpose in order to enhance the company’s growth and performance.

·         Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.

·         Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion by using a variety of styles to persuade and negotiate appropriately.




·         3-5 yrs. of Sales or marketing experience in a Managerial role

·         Relevant work experience in highly regulated sectors such as Pharmaceutical, Cosmetics, Vitamins / Minerals, healthcare or personal care products or food processing Industry.

·         Thorough knowledge of the market and of the company’s competitors.

·         Excellent negotiation and closing skills required.

·         Sales planning, identification of customer needs and territory market knowledge a must!

·         Strong CRM experience needed.

·         Regulatory experience preferred.

·         Bachelor’s Degree, MBA is highly preferred.

·         Must have advance proficiency level in English and fluent in Portuguese
